FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has clamps 1 and 2 and elastic flat plate set between them. the plate is composed of two toothed strips 3 and 4 with reciprocal profile 5. Casing 6 with through channel is mounted on one of the free ends of strips 3. Flat spring 8 engageable with strip 4 is located in the through channel. Strips 3 and 4 are attached to clamps by means of nuts 9 and 10. The instrument for working with the device has two jaws connected to each other by means of screw. End face working surface of one of the jaws is inclined at an angle of 20-25 degrees to internal surface of the working part, that is, corresponding to the profile of the toothed strip 3 and 4. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; combined distracting and correcting action along the whole length of the vertebral column.
