FIELD: production of sulfuric acid. SUBSTANCE: method for production of sulfuric acid consists in that reflux of dry tower in drying-absorption compartment is accomplished with acid whose concentration is less than that of monohydrate absorber by 0.5-1.0% and installed behind the all towers are remote spray traps and filter elements of cartridge type. Used in spray traps of the second monohydrate absorber and dry tower is filter element in form of special fabric and in spray trap after the first monohydrate absorber use is made of fiberglass needle-punched fabric. All towers of drying-absorption compartment are filled with block packing. Installed in mounting-compressor compartment is catalyst additional layer made in form of separate apparatus with radial distribution of gas. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 1 dwg
