FIELD: locking devices. SUBSTANCE: lock has body 1, coder positioned within body 1 and key. Coder has a set of toothed gears 4, each engageable with pair of toothed racks 2 and 3. Pair of racks has locking and control toothed racks. Toothed gear 4 and control rack 2 are mounted for displacement one with respect to the other along toothed gear axis. Toothed ends of gear and control rack have slot positioned adjacent to conjugation area. Size of clot is equal to half the thickness of toothed gear. Key has bit made from rectangular members 9 threaded onto rod and conjugated. Thickness of each member of bit is equal to that of control rack. One of conjugated faces of rectangular member has protrusions and opposed face has two pairs of slots for receiving these protrusions. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 4 dwg
