FIELD: locks.
SUBSTANCE: lock is designed as an elevated privacy mechanism for metal entrance doors of different weight, type and configuration. Lateral scheme for locating the bolt and a brass double bit key corresponding to this scheme are selected for the lock. Lock mechanism design allows to control the latch as a front handle on both sides of the door as well as to open the latch with the lock key. Latch is locked when the lock bolts are fully extended. In the lock, a synchronous mechanism is applied for setting the levers with double bit key, using each bit. Privacy mechanism uses 12 S-shaped levers and requires four half-turns of the key. Use of privacy mechanism protection prevents criminal non-destructive methods of opening the lock.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability of the lever mechanism by eliminating the unstable interaction of the guiding pin and the lever when the bolt is deflected under the action of a key, increase in the burglar resistance of the lever mechanism with the S-shaped levers, and the design simplifying of the lock.
