LIFESAVING APPLIANCE Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: rescue of person falling in water. SUBSTANCE: lifesaving appliance has floating net with cylindrical floats secured on its opposite sides and sheet movably secured over perimeter of this net; appliance is also provided with shot line fitted with buoy which is connected with ends of sheet. Floating net is laid between cylindrical floats and is embraced by detachable collars together with floats; collars are provided with locks which react to contact with water and after bending it in half it is secured by other detachable collar also fitted with lock reacting to contact with water. When appliance is thrown to person overboard, these locks open and floating net is unfolded. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 dwg
