SUBSTANCE: device for cathode protection of metal structures against corrosion. has power supply 1 connected to anode 4 through voltage step-up transformer 2, and electronic switch 3. The device has also control unit 5 to control anode 4 voltage and provides protection from shorting by proper connection of the unit to electronic switch 3. Voltage step-up transformer 2 provides choosing optimum protection against corrosion and maintains doubled feed voltage on anode 4 if corrosion is absent. In case of shorting, a signal to electrode switch 3 interrupting current supply from power source 1 to anode 4, enters through control unit 5. Visualization is possible due to using the device. EFFECT: effective cathode protection of a metal structure, car for example, corrosion against in environments of different conductivity. 4 dwg
