FIELD: drilling. SUBSTANCE: system for automatic control of drilling process has penetration rate transducer 2, axial load transducer 3, extreme load controller 5 and coordinate conversion unit 4. Coordinate conversion unit 4 is connected with penetration rate transducer 2 and axial load transducer 3. Output of coordinate conversion unit 4 is connected with input of controller 5. System allows conversion of nonxtreme object into extreme one to ensure automatic search of drilling conditions by axial load close to minimum of cost of meter sunk, both, in homogeneous and interbedded rocks. EFFECT: higher efficiency in search of optimal process conditions. 4 dwg
