FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: method of synthesis of aromatic carbonate or its mixture involves reesterification between carbonate (dialkyl or alkylarylcarbonate or their mixture) with reagent taken from aromatic hydroxyl-containing compound, alkylarylcarbonate and their mixture. Process is carried out by continuous feeding parental carbonate and reagent in multistep distilling column of continuous operation in the presence of catalyst, and aromatic carbonate or their mixture as a liquid high-boiling product is obtained. The latter is removed from the bottom of column, and by-side gaseous low-boiling products were removed from the top of column (continuous producing aromatic carbonate is occurred).
