FIELD: sail cloth. SUBSTANCE: sail cloth has warp and weft synthetic yarns based on highly oriented low-density polyethylene with warp-to-weft ratio of (8-10): 33 and features coefficient of yarn volume density of 0.75-0.95. Warp polyethylene yarns with diameter ratio of complex thread-to-filament of (35-40):1 and angle of inclination of filament to axis of complex thread being 53-62 deg. Weft yarns present nontwisted complex threads with diameter ratio of complex thread-to-filament being (35-80):1. Included in warp yarns with regular alternation with same interval are polyamide complex threads based on polyparaethylene terephthalamide with densities ratio to polyethylene yarns of 1:32-3:30. Produced cloth features higher rupture and rip loads, resilience modulus (dimensional stability), reduced residual deformation and diagonal displacement. Sail cloth possesses buoyancy and provides for high reliability of sails and sea going abilities of yachts. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 tbl
