FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: pole tips of a permanent magnet have projections. A ring bushing-and-magnetic-conductor having projections is mounted on the surface to be sealed. The spaces, which are defined by projections of the pole tips and projections of the bushing-and- magnetic-conductor, are filled with a sealing and lubricating magnetically active composition. The projections are opposite, the cross-section of the projections being diverging cog rounded at the ends. Friction rings are freely mounted, are concave, enclose convex sides of the cogs, and arranged on both sides of each tip to define a ring space with the projections of the ring space. The space is diverging in the central part of the projections. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 3 cl, 1 dwg
