FIELD: machining of ferromagnetic parts. SUBSTANCE: linear roller induction motor has linear a.c. inductor and steel nonlaminated rollers mounted uniformly along toothed region perpendicular to inductor longitudinal axis for rotation. Rollers have lengthwise alternating sections of two different diameters; length of small-diameter sections is greater than that of large-diameter sections by tooth pitch of inductor; over inductor length rollers are installed so that large-diameter sections of one roller are opposite to small-diameter sections of adjacent roller; axes of adjacent rollers are spaced at distance greater than half-sum of large and small diameters of roller but smaller than large diameter of roller. Some options have combination rollers with sections of high-conductance materials for increasing tractive force. EFFECT: reduced possible size of part towards displacement and provision for its use to displace, for example, sheet crop or steel tubes or rods in crosswise direction. 3 cl, 4 dwg
