FIELD: electrical engineering; extraction of oil and other stratal liquids from medium and high depths using rodless borehole pump units.
SUBSTANCE: proposed cylindrical linear induction motor has cylindrical inductor carrying multiphase winding designed for axial displacement and mounted inside steel secondary member. The latter is, essentially, motor housing whose inner surface is covered with easily conducting copper layer. Cylindrical inductor is assembled of a number of modules chosen of phase coils and interconnected by flexible conductors. Number of inductor modules is a multiple of number of winding phases. In transition from one module to other phase coils are placed so that location of separate phases alternately changes. With motor diameter of 117 mm, inductor length of 1400 mm, and inductor current frequency of 15 Hz motor develops force of 1000 N and power output of 1.2 kW when naturally cooled and up to 1800 N when oil-cooled.
EFFECT: enhanced tractive force and power output per unit length of motor at limited diameter of its housing.
