FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: heat exchanger is provided with a hollow cylinder. The cylinder is mounted inside the housing. The housing and cylinder define the chamber between them provided with branch pipes for supplying heating steam and discharging its condensate. Openings are provided in side wall of the housing. Additional pipes are tightly secured into the opening one above the other over the height of the housing and at an acute angle to the side of the top face of the bottom pipe bank. One ends of the additional pipes are arranged inside the housing and plugged. The other ends are arranged inside the chamber. The space of the housing above the pipe bank and additional pipes is filled with a heat conduction material. The space of the housing under the top pipe bank and above the heat conducting material is in communication with the drain line. The ends of the additional pipes mounted inside the chamber are projected outside of the housing side. The projecting ends of the additional pipes, which are arranged inside the housing, are decreasing in length with height of the housing in the direction to the top pipe bank. Longitudinal slots for discharging condensate of the heating steam from the side facing bottom pipe bank can be made in the projecting ends of the additional pipes.
