NIGHT SIGHT Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

Abstract RU 2042969 C1

FIELD: optical instrument engineering. SUBSTANCE: night sight has case 1. Objective 2, mesh unit 3, image converter 4, eye-piece 5 are placed inside the case. Aperture diaphragm 7 is disposed inside objective 2, provided with mechanism 8 for rotating lobes of the diaphragm by means of ring 10. The third component is mounted for displacement along optical axis of the objective through nut 12 by means of mechanism 11. The nut is brought into contact with screwed protrusions 13, which are disposed at corresponding grooves of case 1. Mesh unit 3 is disposed between the fourth and the fifth components 19 and 20 of objective 2 outside the optical axis of objective 2. Unit 3 is made of radiation source 21, diaphragm provided with mesh 22, objective 23, prism 24. Eye-piece is provided with diopter shift mechanism 26, inside which dioptric ring 27 is disposed inside protecting enclosure 28. The latter has two diametrically opposite grooves 29. The enclosure is attached to case 1. Objective 2 of image converter 4 builds image of object observed onto input surface of image intensifier 4. Objective 23 of the mesh projects image of diaphragm with mesh 22 to the center of this surface by means of prism 24 and the fifth component 20 of objective 2 of the device. Image after being intensified is viewed by eye-piece 5 from linear surface of image intensifier 4. Elements for adjusting diaphragm, focusing distance, dioptric guide are disposed either inside and behind protecting elements, or are arranged in such manner, that case 1, which restricts them, should be located higher than these elements. EFFECT: improved convenience of exploitation. 2 dwg
