DAY-NIGHT SIGHT WITH INBUILT CHANNEL OF OBJECT ILLUMINATION Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC G02B23/12 F41G1/34

Abstract RU 2451958 C2

FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: sight comprises day and night channels, having parallel optical axes, a system for combination of day and night channels in the form of a rhombus-prism 4, and a channel for object illumination. A day channel comprises a lens 1, a turning system from lens components 2, 8, and a net 9 and an ocular 10 common with a night channel. The night channel comprises a lens 5, an electronic-optic converter 6 and a turning system from lens components 7, 8. Beams travel between components 2 and 8, 7 and 8 as parallel. A channel for illumination of objects is combined with a day channel, comprises a light diode 3, a component 2 and a lens 1 and is installed in a sight vessel common with day and night channels. In the day mode the rhombus-prism 4 is installed with an inlet face on the optical axis of the day channel after the component 2, and with an output face - at the optical axis of the night channel in front of the component 8. In the night mode the rhombus-prism 4 is taken out from light beams of day and night channels. The rhombus-prism 4 is a detuned element and is installed in a parallel beam, its displacement does not result in mismatching of channels.

EFFECT: simplified design and higher manufacturability of a sight, expanded functional possibilities of a sight by provision of object illumination.
