FIELD: coal-tar chemistry industry. SUBSTANCE: solution of parental mixture containing phenanthrene is passed through the layer of granulated zeolite at 15-20 C in the solvent benzene-isooctane taken at the volume ratio 1.22-0.82. Ratio parental mixture to the solvent 0.185-0.386 by mass. Phenanthrene is isolated from solution after its passing through zeolite, and from zeolite after solution passing adsorbed phase is washed out with liquid mononuclear aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene etc.) at temperature by 5-10 C lower of hydrocarbon boiling point. Then zeolite is washed from hydrocarbon with a mixture benzene/isooctane at 70-75 C. EFFECT: improved method of phenanthrene isolation. 5 cl
