FIELD: domestic electric heating appliances. SUBSTANCE: iron has control unit 1, temperature control unit 2, power supply 3. Temperature control unit is, essentially, thermocouple 4 whose junction is secured in sole plate; one thermocouple lead is connected to common conductor 5 and other one, to amplifier 6 whose second input is connected to common conductor and output, through thermistor 7 to input of comparator 8 whose second input is connected to center tap of temperature setting potentiometer 9. Output of comparator 8 is connected to heater control unit 1. Thermistor and thermocouples are mounted on insulator 10. EFFECT: improved design. 4 cl, 1 dwg
