FIELD: domestic electrical appliances. SUBSTANCE: electric iron with electronic control has body joined with sole plate accommodating thermoelectric heater, casing with handle connected to body and accommodating water tank with water supply mechanism installed there and sealed at joints which has kinematically interlinked movable control button, steam valve stem, and pump rod all mounted in body; steam valve stem is coupled with its needle through movable spline joint; iron also has two steam boxes mounted in sole plate thermostatic switch, electronic temperature controller, thermoelectric heater, disconnecting and warning device that has displacement and position sensor, null-element with power supply, and time-setting device and is distinguished by new connection of steam valve stem to steam valve, new installation of steam valve, connection of steam valve and steam box, arrangement and inter connection of first and second steam boxes, their design and arrangement, and mechanical design of steam-box labyrinths, steam distributor, and steam outlet holes. Metal shield installed between body and sole plate on heat-insulating bushes with clearances on top and at bottom has same shape as sole plate. Displacement and position sensor is mounted on plate located within rear support space and connected through sensor signal converter to disconnecting and warning device that has reference-voltage source, time-setting device, comparator and switch units; signal converter is connected with audio alarm and triac control unit which is connected through switching element to outputs of electronic temperature controller and null-element, and also to triac which is connected in series with heating element, thermostatic switch, and power supply; rear support is detachable structure joined to casing through single screw.
