FIELD: utilization of electrical fluorescent lighting and mercury-containing wastes o their production. SUBSTANCE: method is realized by interaction of metallic mercury, its vapor and amalgams with other metals, solutions of elementary sulfur in propylenecarbonate with formation of mercury sulfide with following separation of products of demercurized glass breakage from products of demercurization and solvent. Apparatus to exercise method of demercurization in continuous mode has made as entire aggregate block of loading and comminution, block of demercurization, centrifuge to dry glass breakage, settling tank to make wasted solution clarified, block of preparation and control after temperature mode of working solution, pump to circulate working solution and filter of discharged gasses, connected with block of loading and comminution.
