FIELD: steam distributing devices of turbines. SUBSTANCE: adjusting or closing valve of steam turbine has steam chest 1 with valve pair which consists of seat 3 and cup 2 which is connected with rod 5 controlled by drive mechanism 8 and stack of return springs 10 through transverse lever 7. To compensate for buoyant force acting on lower end of rod 5 in steam chest 1, its upper end is embraced by hermetic chamber 11 which is brought in communication with steam system of the turbine. EFFECT: considerable reduction of working force of return springs 10 and minimum dimensions of respective units, as well as possibility of strengthening the rod through increase of its diameter. 2 dwg
