FIELD: drying of highly wet granular and powder materials, heat to which is transferred both from flow of drying agent when it flows around particles, and at a contact with heater walls. SUBSTANCE: pneumatic conveying dryer has two vertically arranged chambers. Their top end faces are connected through a passage, and hoppers are positioned at the bottom end faces of the chambers. The dryer has also a jacket enveloping the chambers and provided with a branch pipe to let in the drying agent. In its lower part the jacket space is connected with one of the vertical chambers having a branch pipe to receive the material. The other chamber is connected through a hopper to unloading cyclone. The pneumatic conveying dryer is furnished with metal plates positioned at an angle to the horizontal plane in the vertical chamber communicating with the jacket and closing each other in chamber section. The jacket space is provided with vertical partitions forming successive passages. The inlet to the latters is located near the second chamber; the ends of metal plates are positioned in the jacket vertical passages. EFFECT: improved design. 4 dwg
