FIELD: production of high-pressure gaseous discharge arc lamps of different types; argon-glow, krypton, xenon, metal-halide, sodium-vapor and other lamps. SUBSTANCE: gaseous discharge lamp has hermetically sealed bulb made of optically transparent material filled with working medium and furnished with means for condensing of working medium gaseous component. Means is essentially reversible sorbent of working medium gaseous component whose desorption temperature is less than temperature of gaseous discharge lamp in non-operating state. Different zeolites or activated charcoal can be used as reversible sorbent. Zeolite NaX is used for xenon, and zeolite NaA for argon. Reversible sorbent can be placed in additional space communicating with hermetically sealed bulb and furnished with heater. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 5 cl, 4 dwg
