FIELD: transport; power steering systems. SUBSTANCE: offered cutoff device is fitted in through hole 17 of working piston 2 in steering mechanism furnished with working piston moving in housing. For each direction of turning separate cutoff valve (piston 20, seat 22 or piston 21, seat 23) is provided operated by pusher 24 or 25 coming contact with wall 30 or 31, respectively. To cut down time taken for mounting cutoff valves, walls 30 and 31 are provided with turned in bolts 40 and 41 with press-fitted bushings 32 and 33 which act as stops. Having installed hydraulic servo steering gear in automobile, bushings 32 and 33 can be automatically shifted into final position corresponding to steering wheel turning angle. This is provided owing to the fact that after preliminarily fitting bushings 32 and 33 on bolts 40 and 41 and turning assembly, thus formed, into housing 1 with front axle raised up, axle is turned in direction of wheel locks without boosting. Thanks to it bushings 32 and 33 can be moved down onto bolts 40 and 41 by working 2 through valve calculated for cutting off boosting. As pushers 24 and 25 of cutoff valves project from working piston 2 through value X, boosting is cut off shortly before the moment when steering wheels attain turning angle. EFFECT: enhanced steerability of vehicle. 41 cl, 3 dwg
