FIELD: heat engineering, refrigerating engineering, absorption machines, thermal converter units and other apparatus of similar purpose. SUBSTANCE: thermal converter unit has two modules A and B with similar desorbers 1 and 2, condensers 3 and 4, absorbers 5 and 6, evaporators 7 and 8, heat exchangers 9 and 10 arranged respectively in individual housing 11 and 12. Line 14 of high-potential medium being cooled is brought to desorber 1 of module A, evaporators 8 and 7 os modules A and B are connected in series by line 15 of low-potential medium being cooled, desorber 1 of module A is connected by vaporous absorbent line with loop of heat exchange surface of desorber 2 of module B with the aid of line 16; outlet of desorber 12 is connected with condenser 3 of module A by means of line 17, absorbers 5 and 6 and condensers 3 and 4 of modules A and B are connected on medium being heated by means of line 13.
