FIELD: independently powered indicators for measurement of radiation activity. SUBSTANCE: radioactivity indicator has high-voltage a.c. self-excited oscillator supplied with power from primary power source, storage capacitor rectifier, discharge resistor, Geiger-Muller counter, isolating capacitor, and amplifier-shaper loaded onto indicating unit, all connected in tandem; self-excited oscillator is normally locked and oscillation enabling circuit is connected to amplifier-shaper output. Self-excited oscillator can be locked for power circuit of transistor base connected to output of amplifier-shaper. For primary charge of storage capacitor (for indicator turning-on), power switch may be made as normally open closer inserted between transistor base of self-excited oscillator and potential terminal of d. c. voltage source. EFFECT: reduced power requirement from power source, that is, improved economic efficiency. 3 cl, 4 dwg
