FODDER STEAMER Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: fodder steamer is comprised of steel pipe-electrodes interconnected via insulators serving as steam generator and installed at an angle of 1-3 deg. One end of these insulators is connected via an insulating T-piece and a gate with a source of water supply while their other end is connected with atmosphere through an insulating T-piece and a gate. Before the second gate the pipe-electrodes are connected by a steam discharge pipe delivering steam into the steamer casing. The different-phase voltage is connected directly to the pipe-electrodes. Water supply may be drawn either from a measuring tank or a water supply system. EFFECT: lower cost, extended surface life and improved operating characteristics. 2 cl, 3 dwg
