FIELD: thermal treatment of liquid food products. SUBSTANCE: pasteurizing tank has heat-insulating vessel with water jacket, electromechanical mixer, level relay, resistance thermometer, electromagnetic valve and cabinet for electrical equipment, in particular, thermoregulator, time relay, mode selection switch and other switching and warning equipment. Sensitive member of level relay is positioned in upper part of water jacket cavity. Tank has tubular electric heaters inserted into water jacket cavity through separable flanges of lower bottom. Electric heaters are connected one with another and with power unit through starter in cabinet. Coil of this starter is connected in series with contact of thermoregulator, which is opened, when temperature reaches predetermined value, and with level relay contact, which is closed, when amount of water in jacket reaches predetermined value. Circuit containing connected in series time relay and closing time-independent contact of this relay, which is connected in parallel with starter opening contact, is connected in parallel with circuit containing starter coil and thermoregulator opening contact connected in series.
