FIELD: medicine, particularly, methods of revealing persons prone to gout. SUBSTANCE: essence of this method resides in assessing state of iris of eye, either visually with aid of optical instruments, to reveal toxic segments, either triangular or trapezoid, having more pronounced color in 6-hour area of ciliary band of left eye and selecting patients into risk group prone to falling ill with gout if above symptoms manifest themselves. EFFECT: greater simplicity and superiority over already known clinical and biochemical diagnostic methods. 5 dwg
