FIELD: technique for material grinding; applicable in manufacture of building materials, mineral concentration, metallurgical, power and chemical industries. SUBSTANCE: method for two-stage grinding of friable material, mainly, cement clinker includes, in the first stage, grinding of initial material and middlings returned from separator and continued up to state of sinter by rolls in closed cycle with air separator, and separation of sinter is effected after preliminary desintering. In the second stage, fine semifinished product separated in separator is finally ground in tube mill in open cycle. Desintering is carried out in the first channel of tube mill and by peripheral discharge form the tube mill of desintered material. Final grinding of fine semifinished product separated in separator is effected in the second chamber of tube mill with periphery loading in it of semifinished fine product and central discharge from it of finally ground product.
