FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: unfoldable roof rack protecting automobile from non-sanctioned usage has roof mounted profiled carcass. When folding a roof rack lateral and face panels move along carcass longitudinal and cross sections approaching each other. Lateral panels are engaged with angular panels. Due to it panels may be set up in upright position for load transportation or in lower position for protection of automobile glazed parts. In this case lager basis of lateral panels which have the shape of truncated triangle may be of a size to fit face panels on engine section cover and rear boot.
