APPARATUS FOR CLEANING STAND PIPES OF COKE OVENS Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: coal-tar chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for cleaning a stand pipe of a coke oven is provided by a rod, mounted on a tie bar and designed for rigid fixation of a working diameter of cleaning members, and by additional levers. One ends of the additional levers are joined with the rod, their other ends are jointly connected with the cleaning members. The last are jointly connected with the main levers. The rod is mounted on the tie bar with use of a pin, mounted in openings of the rod for transmitting rotation of the tie bar to it. A working organ in the form of a chain is mounted on a free end of the rod. A rail track is mounted for moving the apparatus along coke oven battery. The apparatus is provided by means for protecting an operator from high temperature gas outbursts from an open stand pipe of the coke oven.
