FIELD: petroleum industry. SUBSTANCE: light distillate fractions were pprepared from heavy petroleum raw by thermal or catalytic processing in the presence of methane-containing gas at methane content 50-100% at its volume ratio with raw from 0.1 to 500 volume parts for 30 min-10 hr. Temperature and pressure of process are 250-420 C and 7,03-421,8 kgf/cm2 respectively. Catalyst: element or its compound taken from Group VI of periodic law, or from Group VIII, or phosphorus-base compound applied on aluminium oxide, or silicon dioxide.
