FIELD: stopping of containers and vessels. SUBSTANCE: installation for stopping vessels by current-conducting covers and caps has fixed and rotating parts, charging and discharging mechanism, capacitive energy accumulator, inductors located on rotating part and air spark gap. Groups of several neighboring inductors are connected in series to form sections. Each section is connected to secondary winding of separate matching transformer located on rotating part. Primary winding of each matching transformer is electrically connected to pair of electrodes of air spark gap also located on rotating part and providing switching of heavy current pulse in corresponding section of inductors when moving past pair of electrodes of air spark gap fixed on frame and electrically coupled with capacitive energy accumulator. EFFECT: enhanced operation reliability and quality of stopping. 2 dwg
