FIELD: pipelines laying and testing. SUBSTANCE: pipeline surfaces are excite by electromagnetic wave, that is spreading over pipeline body. According to values of direct and return waves state of pipeline is determined. Test is exercised in two steps. During first step they increase outer radius of wave field and correspondingly covered volume to test, guide wave spreading along pipeline body. By change of direct and return waves parameters identification of medium is done and it is compares with reference value. Using obtained data of medium composition state changes, they determine required type of wave, frequency and radius of outer field, that correspond to tested mediums and their volumes on route of pipeline. During second step they, using changes of direct and return waves parameters, render more precise, selective control, and determine time, place volume and qualitative composition of subjected to changes medium. EFFECT: increased accuracy of pipeline route control. 1 dwg
