FIELD: testing of gas-turbine engines, mainly testing of fuel supply systems of gas-turbine engine combustion chambers. SUBSTANCE: method consists in setting the engine at false start mode and measuring the fuel pressure before detachable joint of manifold; during repeated false start, equivalent jet is connected to joint instead of manifold; hydraulic resistance of this jet is equal to nominal hydraulic resistance of manifold with injectors; degree of choking is determined by difference of pressures of fuel measured at first and second false starts.
