FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: variable-ratio transformer has magnetic system composed on n magnetic cores (n=1,3,4.) incorporating two legs and two yokes. First legs of each magnetic core are embraced by (n+1)-th coil including secondary and one part of primary winding, legs being insulated from each other. Every second leg is embraced with coil containing other part of primary winding equal to n parts of first part of primary winding. Input of each second part of primary winding is provided with controlling key and outputs of second parts of primary winding are interconnected and are linked to output of first part of primary winding. Description gives electrical diagrams basic technical characteristics of high-voltage variable-ratio transformer. Transformer provides for capability of control over pulses in binary code by high-voltage output voltage. EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability of variable-ratio transformer. 2 cl, 5 dwg
