FIELD: electrical engineering industry. SUBSTANCE: resistor has three hollow ferromagnetic cylinders 1 carrying continuous windings 2 with several taps 3. Cylinders are interconnected by top and bottom parts 4 and 5 of magnetic circuit, respectively. Top part of magnetic circuit is built up of two steel strips attached to upper flanges 6; bottom part of magnetic circuit is made of two angle pieces. Number of turns is optimized and found from formula given in description of invention. EFFECT: improved design. 1 dwg
