FIELD: medical equipment. SUBSTANCE: artificial heart has a chamber for its drive. A base with holes divides the chamber into two parts. The chamber is partially filled with operating fluid. The electric drive has electromagnets with stationary cores secured on both sides of the base. The movable cores of the electromagnets are spring-loaded, and they are rigidly joined together with flanges. The flanges are rigidly joined together through holes in the base so that they can move jointly perpendicular with this base. Between membranes of the ventricles and the flanges there are additional flexible membranes sealed on the heart body to form chambers for other operating fluid.
