FIELD: plastic working of metals in the process of pulsed stamping. SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic press has housing with cover. Die is mounted in housing in fixed position and punch is mounted for axial displacement by drive having two working windings interconnected through flexible wire. Each winding is formed as flat spiral. Cover and punch are made from magnetically soft material and provided with slots cut in their surfaces faced one towards the other. Windings are fixed in mirror position in slots. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 1 dwg
