FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has mixture preparing unit, gunite powder dosing and feeding unit, portal, buggy and manipulator mounted for displacement in horizontal and vertical planes and for rotation about its axis of rotation. Gunite mixture soakage unit and sprayer with nozzles are mounted on working tool, which is positioned on manipulator. Working tool has upper and lower chambers positioned in succession. Upper chamber is adapted for soaking gunite mixture and is provided with radially extending channels for supplying liquid component to dry gunite powder feed path zone. Upper chamber is positioned on rotary part of manipulator pipeline. Lower chamber is defined by sprayer with side and bottom nozzles and with side and bottom conical valves, which are rigidly coupled one with the other. Valves are positioned for alternative opening and closing of side and bottom nozzles. When in extreme upper position, apex of conical valve is above side nozzles, with space between them being equal to side nozzle diameter. Side nozzles are positioned at an angle of 12-18 deg one with respect to the other. Ratio of gunite mixture pipeline cross section area and areas of open nozzles is 1.3- 2.5. EFFECT: increased efficiency by providing continuous and uniform layer of gunite mixture on ladle surface, reduced unproductive losses and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 cl, 4 dwg
