FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining ratio of electromagnetic radiation absorption band intensities after the radiation interaction with textile material under condition of polarization azimuth orthogonality has taken place. Light flow intensity is measured at the exit from the measuring member engageable with the textile material. The measuring member parameters are selected by means of mathematical relationship. The ratio of absorption band intensities is used to make conclusions on the spatial ordering degree. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in raw material quality control.
