FIELD: agriculture; forcing under conditions of hydroponics. SUBSTANCE: method involves placement of rhizomes in a light-proof case. The case is provided with a template for fixation of rhizomes. Prior to forcing, they are leveled in length. Temperatures are recorded in the process of forcing, and in case that the temperature is higher than 18 C, ventilation is performed to prevent decay of rhizome heads. The device has additional vent holes with a light screen. The screen prevents green development on the crop leaves, thereby improving its palatability. The device is provided with a glass peephole for monitoring overhumidity in the case. The latter is a combination of halves attached to each other. The upper part of the case is detachable.
