FIELD: veterinary science. SUBSTANCE: method involves stage-by-stage culling of groups of low-productive cows every 3-8 months and simultaneous replacement of the same number of remount heifers (non-calving young cows, cow-heifers) examined serologically 3-4 times (with a negative result) beginning from 6 months of age at 6-month intervals. Serological examination for leukosis of newly- replaced sero-negative animals is carried out after 1-2 months. The number of culled and replaced animals shall correspond to the number of heads served by one milker. EFFECT: preservation of animal production and reduced level of infection with leukosis virus of cattle, and curing of leukosis. 1 tbl
