HYDRAULIC WINCH Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: load hoisting and transportation facilities. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic winch has cable drum, drive and tension shafts with sprockets and traction chains, and working cylinders with pistons. Movable crossmembers have holes to let chains pass. Longitudinal section of holes is equilateral trapezium. Fitted in hole of crossmembers are chain grips with wedge-type gripping members. Grips are drive by hydraulic cylinders. Winch has at least two traction chains operating in parallel over drive and tension sprockets. Both strands of chain pass through holes with wedge grips of movable and brake crossmembers with chain guide rollers. Movable crossmembers have running wheels resting on rail track. Winch can be furnished with frame accommodating movable carriage with two parallel tubes rotating on their vertical axles with cable passing in between. Working cylinders with pistons are mounted at both sides of winch frame. Fitted on piston rods outside the cylinders are sheaves with cables. Sheaves, hinge-mounted on rods, connect frame and carriage. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 2 cl, 14 dwg
