FIELD: chemical technology of inorganic compounds. SUBSTANCE: strontium concentrate is obtained after nitric acid decomposition of apatite concentrate. Calcium nitrate solution containing strontium nitrate is subjected for conversion with ammonium carbonate for two stages. At the first stage treatment is carried out for 15-30 min up to the residual calcium concentration in solution 3-8 g/dm3. After calcium carbonate separation filtrate is treated with ammonium carbonate up to pH 7.0-9.0. Two-stage conversion ensures to precipitate 61.9-70.5% strontium to concentrate.
