FIELD: fat and oil industry. SUBSTANCE: soap stocks were split preliminary by hydrolysis at 160-180 C and then prepared emulsion is decomposed with sulfuric acid at 80-90 C up to pH 2-2.5 of sulfate water. Decomposition product is settled and separated for two layers fatty acids were fed to the distillation and sulfate water for sodium sulfate production. Method is used for producing fatty acids from soap stock formed at alkaline refination of vegetable oils. EFFECT: improved method of fatty acids producing. 4 tbl
