FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method of threshing ears and separation of grain involves delivery of ear mass to threshing tools, impact-free threshing and separation of grain in the field of centrifugal forces. Threshing is carried out under the effect of compression forces, shearing, stretching and bending, as well as separation of grain heap into fractions. In the threshing zone the grain is delivered into one of the threshing tools and discharged therefrom in the direction contrary to its delivery. The thresher-separator comprises working tools of which tool 3 is made as a closed surface accommodating at least one more threshing-separating working tool 15. Working tools 3 and 15 are rotatable, the feeding working tool 10 is disposed along the axis of the closed surface, and working tools 5, 6 discharge the threshed and separated fractions. The internal surface of the outer thresher-separator 3 has cells and the other thresher-separator 15 is installed with a provision for rotating in the same direction with the working tool 3 which has cells but the peripheral speed of the internal working tool 15 is higher.
