FIELD: sports medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves subjecting sportsman to prescribed distance running under loading applied to lumbar region of the sportsman body and directed oppositely relative to the running direction, measuring time needed to get over the distance. After having run 70 m, the sportsman receives loading applied to the femoral region, and time needed to perform 10 running steps and distance run by the sportsman are measured to determine the power the sportsman develops during the mentioned 10 running steps. The power value is used to make conclusions about endurance of the sportsman. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of estimation.
