FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: ion exchanger is made as two driving drums mounted near the face ends of the housing. Air-tight sleeves are wound on them. The free ends of the sleeves are turned inside out and are fixed along the perimeter of the housing forming three air-tight chambers in it. The upper and lower chambers are in communication with the system of feeding the working agent. The middle chamber is in communication with the systems of inlet and outlet of the solution and ionite. Under the action of the gauge pressure of the working agent the mixing of ionite with the productive solution is carried out through the reciprocal motion of the sleeves with the simultaneous provision for the regime of the effective ion exchange.
