FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: housing is made as a tube closed into a ring. The means for enhancing the bed capacity are made in the form of a flexible air-tight hose placed in the housing. The hose ends are turned inside out and are secured along the inner perimeter of the housing forming two hermetically divided cavities. One of them is in communication with the systems of inlet and outlet of the solution and ionite. The other cavity is divided into two chambers by a flexible torus set up on the hose. Each chamber is in communication with the system of feeding the working agent. The diameter of the cavity on the area of the torus displacement is less than the diameter of its remaining part. The sleeve together with the torus performs in the housing the reciprocal motion mixing the ionite and solution and intensifying the process of ion exchange.
